why I loved this mountaintop elopement

It’s hard to find the words to describe the amazing elements that came perfectly into play during this beautiful Pacific Northwest mountaintop elopement. From the weather (a warm and sunny day in October in Oregon??) to the views to the company, it quite literally could not have been more perfect. Stephen and Olivia had decided that with the current restrictions for gatherings in place, that opting for an elopement would be the better way to go. It just so happens that they had the perfect location in mind. It would also make it possible to also include their close friends and family. Even their elderly grandparents were able to be in attendance which is not super common for mountaintop elopement style weddings.

The entire day from the very beginning had mood of mellow, laid back, relaxing joy. Everything was casual and calm but with equal excitement.

Of course, Stephen and Olivia’s dog, Ruby was not to be left out! She was front and center for the entirety of the day having just as much fun as everyone else!

time for the first look

From getting ready, we then headed to the location where they had selected to do their first look. It was a special place to them where they spent lots of time hiking and getting to know each other during the early days of their relationship.

After their very sweet first look, we had some time for their bridal portraits. I must say this is probably my favorite location that I have ever taken a bride and grooms photos in. The forest was just so beautiful on this unseasonably sunny fall day. The fact that it held special meaning made it an even more memorable experience.

ceremony time

Then, it was time for the mountaintop ceremony. I was absolutely blown away by this amazing location.

After the ceremony, Stephen and Olivia were continually embraced with tearful hugs and endless congratulations from their loved ones. We wrapped up the day with some family portraits. Then we took some sunset bride and groom portraits with the best view EVER!
